Center
In conjunction with its information database, the CIL of Bucks
County has compiled an extensive library of books, other printed
materials and videotapes to assist people in their awareness,
knowledge and understanding of disability issues. Community
members and service providers are welcome to visit and peruse
our library. The resources may be used on-site or may be borrowed.

Community Education
The CIL recognizes the need to educate society about disability
issues. The CIL plays an important role in creating a "barrier-free"
world that is just as important as preparing persons with
disabilities to access that world. Therefore, the CIL works
with businesses, housing agencies, transit authorities, public
officials and the community-at-large to create an awareness
and understanding of the issues faced by individuals with
disabilities.
Technical Assistance
Complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the
Fair Housing Act and other legislation that support people
with disabilities can be a complicated process. Therefore,
the CIL of Bucks County offers its expertise on a fee-for-service
basis to businesses, contractors, government, housing, service
agencies and other interested parties. The CIL is ready to
assist you with staff training, accessibility surveys, advocacy,
employment and other avenues that you wish to explore.
Deaf/HOH Outreach
